The Happiest Place on Earth

That’s what it’s called – Disney World that is. And having spent countless vacations there year after year I can honestly say that it is indeed the happiest place on Earth. My family and I have been going to WDW every year, at least once a year, for as long as I can remember now. And each time we go we find something new and experience the parks like it’s our first time there.

I can’t tell you exactly what it is that makes WDW so magical. I don’t think it’s any one thing, it’s the whole concept. You can’t really call it a theme park or an amusement park because it’s more than that. WDW engages all of your senses. Every show, ride, or display has something that goes far beyond what you would find at a Six Flags or a Busch Gardens. By the way, I love Busch Gardens also but for other reasons.

Let me give you an example. Hopefully this won’t spoil anything for you if you haven’t visited WDW yet. In Epcot there is a ride called ‘Soarin’ that takes you on a hang gliding trip through various places in California. As you’re flying over the orange groves the smell of oranges surrounds you. When you’re flying over the coastline you can smell the sea-air. There is always a breeze in your face as if you’re really flying. The ride puts you into the situation. Everything at WDW is like that. It’s not just a ‘ride’ it’s a total experience. That’s what makes it special and sets it apart from other places. And everyone that works there, cast members, has a constant smile on their faces. You can tell they truly enjoy working there and will go at any length to help you and to make your day as magical as you expect it to be.

So, that’s my two-cents on how I feel about WDW. From here on out I will try to give you little tips and tricks and share my experiences with you.
