I know we have covered Disney’s Fast Passes before but there are some things that I believe are important for you to know for your next visit to the happiest place on Earth. First, a quick refresher. Fast Passes can be obtained at the more popular rides at all of the Disney parks. For instance, in the Magic Kingdom you can get one for Splash Mountain or Thunder Mountain Railroad. What they allow you to do is skip the line and come back at a later time to get on the attraction faster. Just look for the little Fast Pass dispensers close to the rides.
Now, here are some things you should know. First of all, if you’re going to get a Fast Pass for let’s say Soarin’ in Epcot, you might want to get one first thing in the morning. Only a limited number of Fast Passes are given out daily. Send one person to get one for the group you’re with. Just give them your park tickets and let them take care of it. There’s no point in everyone standing in line for one when you can have a designated person get them all at once.
Now, here’s some things you might not know. If you look at your Fast Pass it will have two times listed on it. That’s when you are supposed to come back to the ride and be allowed to move to the front of the line. What most people don’t realize is, if you come back after the designated times on the Fast Pass, most cast members will allow you to still use the pass and move to the front of the line. They won’t let you use it before the times but if you’re late, no worries, the pass is still good. Also, you can get a Fast Pass every two hours. So if you get a Fast Pass for Splash Mountain that isn’t valid for say four hours, you can get another one for a different ride or the same ride, two hours later.
Want to do something nice for someone while you’re at Disney World? I know there have been times when I just didn’t get around to using a Fast Pass. If this happens to you too, make someone’s day and give them your Fast Pass for a ride and allow them to take advantage of skipping the long lines. It’s sure to add an extra smile to their day. So there is a quick review of Fast Passes and a couple of tips you may not have known.
