Just when you thought Downtown Disney couldn’t possibly house any more fun, Disney and AMC Theatres have announced that there will be six dine-in theatres opening soon! On May 16th, in Orlando’s Downtown Disney the theaters will be open and will allow guests to watch the newest movie releases while they enjoy dinner and drinks from their seats. There will be six auditoriums that will feature the “at-your-seat dining” at the AMC Downtown Disney 24 theaters. They will offer reserved seating, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and “an extensive menu including a wide array of entrees such as an enticing selection of quesadillas, burgers, flatbread pizzas, grilled sandwiches, house specialties, as well as appetizers and desserts.”
Plus, in order to keep from distracting other moviegoers, guests will be able to press a call-button that alerts their server. The cost for this new movie going adventure will vary depending on the day and time you plan to visit. The cost will be between $6 and $13, plus the cost of food, which is expected to be between $6.59 – 8.99 for appetizers and $8.59 – 11.99 for entrees. If you don’t wish to dine while watching a movie, a full-service bar and lounge will also open on May 16th. MacGuffins Bar and Lounge will be located inside the AMC Downtown Disney 24 and will offer the full menu of drinks and food choices available to those in a dine-in theater.
