Once again it’s that time of year. The Christmas season is officially being celebrated at Walt Disney World. There are still a few things left to do but that will all happen later this week.

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom you can catch the Jammin’ Jungle Parade, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights are glowing and the snow is falling, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is going on at the Magic Kingdom, and Epcot is wrapped in decorations for the holidays. The resorts are adding their decorations and Downtown Disney’s Festival of the Seasons has started with daily meet-and-greets with Santa.

Starting Friday, November 27th, Epcot’s Holidays Around the World will begin. That will bring the Holiday Storytellers to each pavilion, the Candlelight Processional to the America Gardens Theater and the Holiday Tag to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.

If you’ll be at the Walt Disney World Resort over the holidays, seeing the gingerbread house and decorations at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a must! And there’s more gingerbread! Stop by and see the gingerbread carousel at the Beach Club Resort.

Disney Mobile Magic, a new application available to Verizon Wireless subscribers, provides valuable information to Guests such as attraction wait times for the Park they are currently in, Disney’s FASTPASS® Service return times and the ability to locate their favorite Characters using their mobile device. The application’s GPS technology also displays Park maps that pinpoint a Guest’s location and can provide suggestions on what to visit next, based on what is nearby.

The application offers live competitive trivia games, videos, Character stories, and other surprises to keep Guests entertained while waiting in line at the Park. The application also provides specific services for a Guest while planning a Disney vacation from home.

Additionally, a new, separate mobile website, Disney Mobile Web, allows any Guest with a browser-enabled phone to access useful information such as Park hours, entertainment schedules and dining information at no charge*.

A soft launch of Disney Mobile Magic is now available for purchase. The application will officially launch in January 2010.

Starting Jan. 3, 2010, the colonial Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom® Park will operate as a Character dining location for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You and your family can cozy up with your favorite Disney Characters while dining in an all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style setting. This dining experience is a good alternative for folks who might normally choose to dine at The Crystal Palace, which will be closed for refurbishment during this time.

On Feb. 15, 2010, The Crystal Palace will reopen as a Character dining establishment and Liberty Tree Tavern will resume its normal operation of serving lunch and dinner as a non-Character location
